Governors Lodge Resort Hotel
Resort overview
Governor's Lodge Resort Hotel calls Norfolk Island home. A tranquil paradise of pristine golden beaches, dramatic coastline and lush sub-tropical forest, it sits like a jewel off the coast of Australia. The resort languishes in twelve acres of exquisite gardens, where banana palms and colourful hibiscus via for your eye beneath a towering canopy of magnificent Norfolk Pines.
Modern and comfortable, it has been designed for people who want a relaxing retreat surrounded by the beauty of nature. Indeed, there’s a charming village feel to the resort that envelops every guest in a comforting blanket of peace and tranquillity. Read a book on your private verandah, relax by the pool, play a game of tennis or simply chill out in the spa.
When you manage to pull yourself away from the resort, you’ll discover that there’s plenty of fun to be had. From strolling along the pine-fringed beaches, biking, fishing and, of course, playing around 18 on the lush greens. Being on an island lends itself to boating that, apart from being great fun, is also the best way to go whale watching. Back on dry land there are excellent wineries waiting to be toured and some large reserves and parks where you can discover the ancient volcanic past of the island.
We also always include a free half day island tour and airport transfers: When you arrive at Norfolk Island and depart the Customs area you will be asked where you are staying. Just say "Govs" and you will be directed to your transfer bus where you'll also be asked on your preference for your free half day island tour.
