Roark Vacation Resort, on the banks of Lake Taneycomo, is known for its excellent bass and trout fishing. Boating and other water activities can also be enjoyed there. This resort is located in the heart of Ozark Mountain Country, only minutes from all the attractions of Branson. Each unit is air-conditioned and has a whirlpool tub, cable television, and a partial kitchen with full-size appliances which includes a four-burner stove top, but no conventional oven, however there is a microwave oven. Each building has stairs and pay-per-use laundry facilities. This is a terrific place to get away from it all and just relax and unwind. Roark has a large outdoor swimming pool on the property. The health club features weight lifting, saunas, tanning beds, a large indoor pool, a kiddy pool and much more. Area attractions include Silver Dollar City, Marvel Cave, and 74 country- and-western music shows, with entertainment by Shoji Tabuchi, Bobby Vinton, Jim Stafford, Mickey Gilley, Andy Williams, The Osmond Family and many others. Besides live entertainment, the Branson area is great for outdoorsmen. Take a hike. Go fishing on Lake Taneycomo or Table Rock Lake.
